Advocates to urge NY to give terminally ill ‘right to die’

Supporters of legislation that might permit individuals with a terminal illness to seek life-ending medicine from a physician are heading to Albany.

Organizers say dozens of advocates shall be in the Capitol on Tuesday, with many sharing personal stories concerning the struggling experienced by loved ones with terminal sicknesses.

The bill isn’t scheduled for a vote however supporters say they’re feeling extra optimistic after Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo stated he would signal the bill into regulation if it passes.

The bill earlier than lawmakers would require two docs to log off on using life-ending treatment.

Eight states and Washington, D.C., already permit individuals to hunt a physician’s assist in ending their lives.
